© BKC Enhancement Limited (BKC) - Tutor Terms and Conditions

1. The tutor will not engage in any tutoring activity with a student of BKC or its associate companies without written permission by management.
2. Tutors should ensure with BKC that advance payment of fees from clients has been received by BKC before commencing/initiating any session with the client.
3. All additional hours worked with the client, other than those already arranged through BKC should be confirmed with BKC prior to agreeing with the client.
4. Tutors work on a self-employed basis and are responsible for their personal tax matters.
5. BKC operates a monthly billing cycle which means that you will be paid fees on or before the 20th of every month for tuition that took place in the previous month. You will submit timesheets for each of your clients at the end of every month so that BKC can reconcile to the hours agreed and paid for by the clients.
6. If the 20th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you will be paid on the last business day before the 20th.
7. Tutors should contribute to a positive work environment and portray BKC in a positive manner.
8. The tutor will not themselves or through third parties, facilitate the exchange of any contact or social media details with students, parents, or any party connected through/to BKC or its associate companies without the express written permission of BKC.
9. All referrals, leads, addition to student numbers or hours, referrals to friends and family or other engagement opportunities by/from the client should be referred to BKC. All enquiries by parents should be directed to BKC.
10. It is condition of tutor engagement that they adhere to the principles and code of conduct set out in the latest Department for Education publication “Teachers’ Standards” and any other related policies.
11. Ensure that general child protection and safeguarding policy & procedures are adhered too - Safeguarding policy available on the northlondonhometutors.co.uk website.
12. A session report should be emailed to BKC after every session.
13. All issues or grievance’s should be addressed to BKC management in writing or as advised by BKC.
14. Ensure at a minimum, a presentable appearance and professional smart/casual dress code is maintained.
15. Ensure that teaching standards of the highest quality are maintained.
16. Ensure that any BKC teaching material is not distributed externally.
17. Ensure no favouritism or prejudices are associated towards any student(s). All students to be treated with respect and motivated equally to achieve their best.
18. No use of mobile phones, video, photography, texting, social media, or other such like activities. All electronic equipment to be turned off during lessons. No charging of electronic equipment while attending tutee’s home or associate premises.
19. Due to allergy considerations, no distribution of food or drink is allowed by tutors or students.
20. BKC can terminate or cancel Tutor Engagement with a client without notice at any time.
21. Tutors are required to give 4 weeks written notice to terminate their employment. This is to allow BKC appropriate time to find a replacement tutor. The notice period may be reduced by mutual agreement.
22. Tutor will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by their negligence or wilful action.
23. Ensure that ‘hired premises’ rules and regulations are adhered to. Tutor’s to familiarise themselves with all premise’s hire conditions, fire and emergency exit, health, and safety regulations etc.
24. Tutor reference requests are limited to confirming the tutor’s period of tutoring engagement with BKC Enhancement Limited.
